NCAA Hockey Conference Tournaments -- Part IV

What does Wu-Tang have to do with Hockey??? Nothing.  Fucking deal with it.

This is part four of a five part series previewing conference tournaments. This is the final segment of a five part series.  Check out the previous previews! Atlantic Hockey // CCHA // ECAC // Hockey East

We're going to look at the WCHA.  This is a massive conference, with plenty of firepower.  With five ranked teams in their ranks, including defending National Champions #3 Minnesota-Duluth.  Let's waste no time and jump right in!

(12) Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves (9-23-2, 5-22-1)
 @ (1) #5 Minnesota Golden Gophers (24-12-1)
Look, no one is kidding themselves here.  The Gophers own the Seawolves.  The Seawolves are bad.  Everyone on the same page?  Good.  Minnesota is 2-0 facing UAA this year.
Robby's pick:  Minnesota 2-0

(11) Minnesota State Mavericks (12-22-2, 8-18-2)
@ (2) #3 Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs (22-8-6, 16-7-5)
UMD went 3-0-1 against the Mavericks this season.  Shouldn't have any trouble here unless they have an off night somewhere.
Robby's pick:  Duluth 2-0

(10) Wisconsin Badgers (16-16-2, 11-15-2)
@ (3) #9 Denver Pioneers (21-11-4, 16-8-4)
Season series here is tied.  Denver wants to ensure they'll have nothing to worry about heading into the tournament selection, while the Badgers are looking to play spoiler.
Robby's pick:  Wisconsin 2-1

(9) Bemidji State Beavers (17-16-3, 11-14-3)
@ (4) #12 North Dakota Fighting Sioux (20-12-3, 16-11-1)
Another series that looks close.  The season series is tied 1-1 and UND is on the bubble.
Robby's pick:  North Dakota 2-1

(8) Michigan Tech Huskies (14-18-4, 11-13-4)
(5) #18 Colorado College Tigers (18-14-2, 15-12-1)
The Tigers have work to do to get into the NCAA Tournament.  They've just swept Tech this past weekend, and look for them to hold the advantage again.
Robby's pick: Colorado College 2-1

Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks (14-16-6, 11-12-5)
@ St. Cloud State Huskies (15-16-5, 12-12-4)
UNO holds the season advantage 1-0-1.  St. Cloud would like to finally break through and get a win in game one to get a quick advantage.  We'll see tonight.
Robby's pick:  UNO 2-1
