We're going to break the NCAA Tournament Region by Region. We're going to break it into small, digestible pieces for y'all too. Ain't I nice???? We're headed eastbound and down to help YOU pick by
(6) Cincinnati Bearcats (24-10, 12-6 Big East)
vs. (11) Texas Longhorns (20-13, 9-9 Big XII)
Robby: Another game of trends. At the end of the season, Texas had a rough go of things. Honestly, they are lucky to be in this year's field. Cincinnati had a rough time early on and looked very tough to beat down the stretch. Texas is a very young team with a promising future, this just isn't their year.
PICK: (6) Cincinnati
(3) Florida State Seminoles (24-9, 12-4 ACC)
vs. (14) St. Bonaventure Bonnies (20-11, 12-6 A-10)
Robby: Florida State is a dark horse Final Four team, but they got a tough draw here. St. Bonaventure is playing at a completely different level right now. I don't see the Bonnies having enough to proceed here, but they are going to give Florida State everything they can handle and then some.
PICK: (3) Florida State
(7) Gonzaga Bulldogs (25-6, 13-3 WCC)
vs. (10) West Virginia Mountaineers (19-13, 9-9 Big East)
Robby: West Virginia pisses me off. Sorry, had to get that out of my way. I like the school, but this year's team is annoying. Deniz Kilicli shoots the ball every time he touches it. It's obnoxious. Gonzaga is Gonzaga and you should know that you always take Gonzaga in the first round. Country roads will have to take the Mountaineers home a little early this year. Make sure they stop at the bar for Huggy.
PICK: (7) Gonzaga
(2) Ohio State Buckeyes (27-7, 13-5 Big Ten)
vs. Loyola (MD) Greyhounds (24-8, 13-5 MAAC)
Robby: The Greyhounds stole Iona's MAAC bid, but they'll be hard pressed to take this game from the Buckeyes. Jared Sullinger and company are in some of my Final Four brackets.
PICK: (2) Ohio State
