Song about Kentucky. Stereotypes exist for a reason y'all.
We're going to break the NCAA Tournament Region by Region. We're going to break it into small, digestible pieces for y'all too. Ain't I nice???? We're going to start in the South and help YOU pick by providing you with insight reminding you that you will lose to some girl who picked by color and mascot!!!!
(1) Kentucky Wildcats (32-2, 16-0 SEC)
vs. (16) MVSU/WKU Winner (First Four Game)
Robby: I don't care who wins the first four game, they aren't coming within 40 of Kentucky. They are ridiculously good, and a 16 seed has never beaten a 1 seed. So, if you want UK analysis, check back Saturday morning y'all.
PICK: (1) Kentucky
(8) Iowa State Cyclones (22-12, 10-6 Big XII)
vs. (9) Connecticut Huskies (20-13, 8-10 Big East)
Robby: I love the Cyclones, but this is the worst case scenario for them. Connecticut is peaking at the right time and has the players to blow ISU out of the water. They need to let Royce White get into the zone and find his jumper early, and hope that UConn doesn't put him on the free throw line. Watch out for Jeremy Lamb to have a MONSTER game.
PICK: (9) Connecticut
(5) Wichita State Shockers (27-5, 16-2 MVC)
vs. (12) Virginia Commonwealth Rams (28-6, 15-3 CAA)
Robby: This match up is pretty intriguing. WSU likes to push the temp, they score a lot and they are very efficient, 13th in the country in Field Goal %. VCU plays a full court press defense that causes trouble not only getting the ball up the court, but getting your offense rolling. If they are able to keep the Shockers from playing their game, this game could be a total crap shoot. Expect the Shockers to pull through, but it will be an ugly win.
PICK: (5) Wichita State
(4) Indiana Hoosiers (25-8, 11-7 Big Ten)
vs. (13) New Mexico State Aggies (26-9, 10-4 WAC)
Robby: This game is giving me fits. On paper, these two teams are exactly the same, except the Aggies clean up on the boards much better. The problem I have is from watching them play... both teams are very good at minimizing their weaknesses making it hard to break down. In games like this, I usually call the upset, and I don't see any reason why NMSU couldn't win this game.
PICK: (13) New Mexico State
